Dear Hikers,

I visited a few Santa Ynez wineries last May and was impressed by what I experienced. Therefore, I and Greg would like to organize a trip to the Santa Ynez area on Saturday, September 27, 2014. You will have an opportunity to enjoy wine tasting, nice country scenery, and strolling and shopping in Solvang.  The following are the two wineries we will be visiting:

Gainey Vineyard

3950 East Highway 246 Santa Ynez, CA 93460

Rusack Vineyard

Russack Vinerard has the best view. After wine tasting, we will picnic on their patio.  Please bring your own packed lunch and drinks.  After Rusack, we will tour in Solvang for a couple of hours.

As there may be many visitors to wineries on the weekend, we want to get on the road early enough.

Here are the three meeting places:

1. 金葫蘆停車場（16409 Colima Rd. Hacienda Hts. , CA 91745 ). Meet with Peter Young at 6:30 am.
2. The corner of San Gabriel Blvd and Duarte St.   ( Park along Duarte St. at WEST side of  San Gabriel Blvd). Meet with Yuehming (Rich) Liao at 6:30 am.
3. McDonald’s (29161 Canwood St, Agoura Hills, CA 91301). Meet with Li-mei inside McDonald’s at      7:45 am.

There will be some people coming directly to Agoura Hills. Peter’s and Yuehming’s groups are expected to meet Li-mei and others at McDonald’s in Agoura Hills by 7:45 am.  Then all of us will leave Agoura Hills by 8:15 am and caravan to Santa Ynez.  We plan to leave Solvang by 3:00 pm.

Here are several reminders:

1. RSVP in the comment box and indicate which meeting place (金葫蘆, Duarte St or McDonald’s) that we will expect to see you first.
2. Since this is a relatively long drive, each car passengers should decide how you want to compensate the driver for gasoline and the cost of wear and tear of the car.
3. For those who might be interested in spending some time in Santa Barbara or the Camarillo Outlet on the way back, you might want to consider driving by yourself.
